Vintage 14k Yellow Gold Opal Sapphire and Emerald Peacock Ring, Size 7.75

This Vintage 14k Gold Opal, Sapphire and Emerald Ring is fantastic! The design is the Franklin Mint 1988 Peacock Ring and the style is stunning. It features a natural oval opal with green and pink flashes that show under the light. The opal measures approximately 6 x 8 mm and is accented with nineteen round natural blue sapphires and nineteen round natural emeralds. The setting is marked 1988 FM and 14k and the ring tests for 14k gold (not plated or filled). The top of the ring measures approximately 19.5 x 20.3 mm with a rise of 11.5 mm. This ring is nicely made and is in good vintage condition. It is ready to be worn and enjoyed!

In Roman times opals were, after emeralds, the most valued gem. In the Victorian Era it was believed that each stone had it's own mythical properties and symbolism.
